The Full Story

Why did we create the EEP?

In the US alone, 24.7% of people with mental illness report unmet needs of mental health care along with this harrowing statistic, globally, 700,000+ deaths are attributed to suicide each year. As students who are incredibly passionate in mental health advocacy we searched the internet for organisations where students could help we felt determined to create a project to help one of the most vulnerable communities: individuals being helped by charities. To combat this issue on a global scale, the EEP was created to provide these services to charities around the world with no fee whatsoever.

Although as students, we are unable to help these people with professional care, we have the opportunity to provide these people with invaluable, basic tools that they can take advantage of to potentially help them ground themselves independently during emotionally distressing moments. To allow a balanced and unbiased representation of mental health strategies, our workshops consist of Eastern and Western techniques which will be conveyed at each workshop.
