The Full Story

Why did we create the EEP?

8 million deaths each year, are attributable to mental disorders.

As students passionate about helping individuals who struggle with managing their mental health, we realized that many discussions approaching the idea of mental health management were limited to a single cultural perspective. In many Western spaces, Eastern approaches—such as meditation and holistic healing—are sometimes overlooked, whereas in some Eastern contexts, Western methods like therapy and clinical psychology may be dismissed. This gap in understanding led us to create the Emotional Empowerment Project as means to seize the international digital landscape and promote a better, nuanced understanding of mental health management to individuals across the globe.

The EEP primarily fosters a global perspective on mental health. By bridging the divide between different approaches, we strongly encourage open dialogue and mutual learning. By continuously working to create an increasingly inclusive, interactive space, we empower individuals with diverse experiences to share, reflect and adopt different strategies to go from plain to peaceful.
